• Mail, Keys and Everything In Between

Happy Monday and happy election day eve, I cannot believe election day is almost here!  I am excited to share this post with you, not only because its a great way to stay organized, but it is also a DIY and by DIY, I just mean, I painted my cabinet a different color lol!   A couple years ago (I know, I can’t believe I have been blogging for 3+ years), I wrote a post on setting up an office in virtually any space (if you didn’t read the post, please check it out here).
Ok, so fast forward to when I moved in with my bf in Jersey City and no longer had that space to set up a desk and bookcase, but STILL needed to keep our mail organized and our keys in plain sight!  My solution was to set up a little area to house our keys and our incoming and outgoing mail.  The challenge I faced, however, was that this little nook didn’t allow for different shelving units, so I had to get creative with how I organized it.  By combining a few different kind of organizers that I found at Homegoods (of course) and some folders from TJMaxx, I think I struck the perfect balance and organization solution given the tiny space.

If you have issues finding your keys and/or umbrellas in the morning, then this blog post is for you!  Check out my pics and recommendations below and let me know what you think!  As always, thanks for reading.

Here is our tiny little nook, a perfect place to organize our mail.  I found this 2 drawer cabinet at Homegoods a few years ago that was a different color and I painted it to match our décor.

I originally had this cabinet in the bathroom when I first moved here.  I realized it would be better in the living room for holding mail and supplies.

Found this file sorter at Homegoods for $24.99.  Perfect for organizing mail or must-keep documents in folders.
This mail sorter is great for organizing pens/markers/desk supplies, with slots for incoming/outgoing mail.
I purchased this key hook a few years ago at Bed, Bath and Beyond.  It is a lifesaver in the mornings because there is no need to search for keys, headphones or umbrellas!
Found these cute folders at TJMaxx in September when they had a ton of back to school stuff in their stationary department.
