Happy Friday!  I hope that everyone had a wonderful week, I know I did and I am looking forward to the weekend.  Can you believe that it is August already?!   The summer is flying by.  One thing that I love about summer, though, is being in the kitchen making all sorts of wonderful salads and dishes with freshest ingredients.  However, I notice that I am constantly reorganizing ingredients and food items given the limited cabinet and counter space.

Check out some quick ways to keep your kitchen organized and a list of some of my favorite websites for finding unique kitchen items!

    MASON JARS

Mason jars are a simple and inexpensive way to keep your kitchen/pantry organized.  I found some at Target and they come in an array of colors and sizes.  You can find them here.  I posted this pic on Instagram (@cosmopoloitanclosets) awhile ago when I had flour, rice, pasta, brown sugar and popcorn stored.  I now have oatmeal, coconut flour, quinoa, popcorn and brown rice in them 🙂

    CANISTERS

I absolutely love these canisters/dispensers that I came across on Wayfair’s website.  Check them out here.  These are definitely ideal if you own your home and don’t mind a quick installation!
I bet you are trying to guess, what’s the difference between canisters and mason jars.  Not much, I have to admit, but canister sets normally come in graduated sets of  3. I found the ones above in Homegoods of course, but you can find a great selection at Bed, Bath and Beyond (here).

    BASKETS

In another post, I will talk about the shelves that we have in the kitchen, so stay tuned, but in the meantime I will show you the baskets that we use to organize the shelves.  I am sure you can guess by now that if I have things on shelves, then I probably don’t have that many cabinets.  Hahaha, which is ok b/c I love an organizing challenge.  The baskets are metal and I found them at Walmart.  They are perfect for storing condiments and mason jars and you can pretty much find them anywhere.

Here is a list of my favorite websites for kitchen organizing products:

    Pier 1 Imports

    Wayfair

    World Market

     The Organizing Store

Plus you can never go wrong at Marshalls, Homegoods, TJMaxx, Burlington, Target, Walmart, Bed, Bath and Beyond, The Container Store and so many more!
