• Cosmopolitan Closet Makeover #3: A Brownstone Boudoir

In April, I had the pleasure of cleaning out and reorganizing my bf’s mom’s closet, which is inside a beautiful brownstone. I had no idea how much space the closet had and the pictures don’t do it justice. On top of a bi-level hanging space, there is a chest of built-in drawers and a side closet with shelves perfect for linen, toiletries and accessories.

To prepare for organizing, we got a plethora of slim hangers (mixed colors to add a but of flair), a hanger for belts and some other baskets and canisters from Marshalls. We also got a few clear totes for shoe storage and large bins for winter clothing and accessories.

Check out my pics below and let me know what you think. I will add some other pics later to showcase how we organized her accessories and toiletries. Leave comments below and feel free to share. Thanks for reading!!

This small rack was perfect for hanging dresses.

I used tiered hangers for the skirts and slim hangers for jeans, dress pants and cardis.

This middle shelf was perfect for shoes and I have been searching for another removable shelf to add even more storage space.

The top rack was perfect for jackets and blazers, arranged by color of course.

There are many ways to go about organizing your closet. Different methods make more sense depending on your space and what you’re storing. No matter which method you choose, these closet storage solutions  definitely helps you to reduce the space usage. Once again great post man! Cheers!
