• Cosmopolitan Closet’s Guide to – #CleverStorage

Hi Everyone, happy Monday!   If you have been following me on social media (if you don’t, please do, links are on the right) then you know that I am all about this hashtag, #cleverstorage!

The reason why I love it so much is because I believe it and I live it.  Being that I live a small(er), shared space, having storage that is both functional and stylish is key because who wants to walk into a living room that resembles a storage closet, I know I don’t!  Finding the right pieces, however, can be somewhat difficult and expensive.  However, I have a solution for you, so check out my recommendations below and as always, feel free to drop me a line, comment, like, repost or all of the above!

    The List

    1. Storage Ottoman – These type of ottomans are one of the easiest ways to add #cleverstorage to your living space.  There are so many variations out there that are big, small or in between, with fabric and (faux) leather finishes that the possibilities are endless.  This one is from Target and you can find it here.

    2. End Tables –  These are the easiest way to add a little style and a little storage to your living space.  This one features an open storage design, with baskets as drawers.  The drawers are perfect for stashing coasters, magazines, extra candles, remote controls and more and the surface can be used for lamps or other décor.  Check it out here.

    3. TV Stands – These can be great if used correctly or a complete waste of space if you have the wrong one.  Small corner stands make use of dead corner spaces and also serve as a tv stand and storage.  Look for ones like this one, that have doors to hide your mess!  You can find the one above here.

    4. Multipurpose Dining Tables – I absolutely love these kind of high pub tables in small(er) apartments for a few reasons.  One, they are chic and a total space saver.  Two, if you shop around, you can find one with storage underneath.  And three, they easily convert into a larger table in case you have guests or need the extra space to dine (you can stash a foldable directors chair for extra seating if need be).

End tables with #cleverstorage.  I found these at Target a couple of years ago and had to get them!  They allow me to store glass vases and dishes that don’t fit in the kitchen cabinets.

Our dining set is also from Target and has storage underneath the table, where I store my ice cream maker and various glass vases.

The table also has a drawer on the bottom where I store tons of candles, scented wax, oils, etc.!  It smells so good when I open it up!
