Three's A Charm

Happy Wednesday Everyone!  I am very excited to share my latest organizing project, something super simple and easy to do.  If you know me or can tell by my posts, I love glass; glass furniture, decorations, jars, vases, whatever!  In the past, before I had my amazing Clear Cube acrylic makeup organizer, I used apothecary jars to organize my makeup, nail polish and accessories. For some reason, I always use glass jars in sets of 3, not sure why, but that seems to be the magic number!  Please take a look at the various ways I have organized my kitchen and bathroom using glass jars of some sort and let me know what you think!  If you haven't already, please check out my page on Instagram @cosmopolitanclosets and on Pinterest, the button is located on the right side of the page :)

This is my little kitchen counter (counter space in NYC is scarce, lol).  I found these jars at Marshalls, they were about
$4.99-$6.99 each.  I think they are perfect for storing candy, teas and coffee, as well as the basics like rice, flower and sugar.

I absolutely love these apothecary jars for storing bathroom necessities.  I think I got these from Sears in a set for $29.99, but honestly you can find them anywhere.  Check your local Homegoods and Marshalls for a great, low cost selection.

These mirrored canisters and tray are from Homegoods and go perfectly with my other bathroom accessories.

These canisters still hold the same amount of qtips and cotton balls as my apothecary jars!

Tiny Closet, Big Possibilities

Hi Everyone!  I am super excited to share my latest post with you via video!  I just don't think pictures alone will do it justice.  Check it out and let me know what you think.

Ok, now that  you have seen the video, let me explain.  First, all of those items came from Marshalls and are part of the Cynthia Rowley home collection.  In total, I think I paid $60 for all of them, but I bought them 2+ years ago and cannot find them anywhere online.  With that being said, I wanted to find a way to maximize the small amount of space in that closet and what better way than hanging organizers.  In total, there are 47 pairs of shoes, over 65 scarves, 23 purses and countless amounts of earrings!  Now if that is not maximizing space, then I don't know what is!

The middle organizer holds my scarf collection!  There about 15 scares (rolled) on each shelf.
The left organizer holds my flats (9 pairs) and a couple of clutches.
The right organizer holds miscellaneous wallets/wristlets and cold weather accessories like mittens and hats.  The bottom cubes have larger purses and travel toiletry bags.

This over-the-door shoe rack holds 10 pairs of shoes.

I have 28 boxes on the top shelf, all purchased from the Dollar Tree.  I'd prefer the fancy boxes in the Container Store, but they are too expensive to buy 30 of them! lol

These accessory bags are hanging on the right side and have a plethora of earrings and bracelets.

All About Bangles, Bracelets and Bling!

Every now and then, I like to subtly switch things up with my organizing.  In my last post, I was super excited to see all the acrylic organizing items now available at HomeGoods.  Well, during that same trip, I came across an acrylic bracelet holder and I thought that by adding a few of them to my dresser, then I could display and organize my bracelets instead of digging for them in their current containers.
