• The Luck of the Drawer!

Hi everyone!  Hope that you are enjoying the start to the summer season now that we are in the month of June! And I hope that you have finally gotten around to completing the unpopular task of switching out drab winter clothes with your bright and colorful summer wardrobe.  I just did this a few weeks ago and let me tell you, it was no small task.  One thing I did learn, however, was that I needed to come up with a different way to fold my clothes that are kept in drawers as I was finding it hard to keep them organized with my current method.  I decided that one simple method would not work for all, so I separated my clothes by tops and bottoms and then length (long sleeve vs short and pants vs shorts).  Check out the pics below and let me know how you have your drawers organized!

Roll sweaters instead of stacking them to allow visibility and create more space for new additions!

Here is a picture of my cardigan drawer!  Previously, I had the sweaters stacked on top of each other, arranged from lightest to darkest.  While I knew where most of them were in the pile, I wasn’t able to see all of them and often forget about ones that got stuck at the bottom.  By rolling them, I was able to fit more (16 vs 12) in the drawer and I am able to see all of them, making it easier to get dressed and shop!

Arrange shorts and skirts by color and in a way so that the top of each pair sticks out, allowing for easy access!

Here is a picture of my bottoms drawer, a mix of shorts and mini skirts!  I decided that rolling them was hard b/c of the length and they looked messy.  I find that stacking them so each pair’s top is visible is a better approach and an easy way to find the pair you need in a hurry.
